Chung ki wa has the best hospitality. The owner always wants to know that you are comfortable and satisfied with the food. Most of the dishes are well seasoned and ready for you to cook on your very own grill. This gives everyone the liberty to cook, their selected entrees, to the doneness of their preference. One is always greeted and served with a humble smile. Responsibly priced.

Great food! Great staff! Will most certainly come back again and recommend others..

Chungkiwa is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, the flavors are pretty spot on , everything seems to be made out of good ingredients, the dishes are presented well -- however the portions are a bit small, lacking in meat, and the prices are quite high. The dishes are also not very memorable in flavor -- satisfying but you wouldn't recognize them in a blind taste test against other local Korean restaurants. The service is relatively good, the food temperature and cooking speed is good, the dining areas are comfortable and decorated quite a bit (although I don't exactly understand the theme), the noise level isn't too high although the background music isn't Korean themed. I was served 6 banchan here, all fresh and light tasting -- a little small on portion size although we were offered refills -- nothing unusual you haven't tried elsewhere. The hot pot bibimbap had a light flavor to it with nicely crisped rice. The fried end was prominent in this dish but I wish that the sliced beef was more noticable. The lightly sauteed and seasoned vegetables did provide nice texture contrast in the dish. Jang gook bop had a good body to the broth with just the right amount of rice in the soup. Kalbi tang casserole was mixed for me -- I wish the beef had more flavor and the sesame oil was a little strong but the vermicelli in the dish did add a nice touch. Sam kyup sal - The slices of pork belly were prepared well, fatty but still having a bouncy texture to the meat and crispy edges. The taste of sesame was prominent in this dish but it worked well. Still, a bit expensive for the amount of meat you're getting. The meal ended with Lil'Drums, which appropriately matches the mixed East-West feel I got from this restaurant. Overall, it's a place I would return to for the quality of the food -- but still wish that the prices would be just a little lower.

Awesome food...very warm n prompt services.... What more can u ask...its really a nice place for food.....

One of the best. There are many Korean/BBQ restaurants in the northwest suburbs. Tonight we decided to try one we never had before. We drove by Chungkiwa many times but for some reason this was our first visit; and we like it! First impression - with artworks and classical music all over the restaurant it was so non-traditional. Service was very attentive, prompt, and friendly. Quality of food was excellent - tasty, not salty, not overpowered by garlic as many BBQ restaurants do. Everything was just right. They had the best kimchi and bibimbop. Highly recommended; and we definitely will return to Chungkiwa. PS - I do agree with Tony C's wife comments on the price.....

It's an awesome place. The seafood is flesh and delicious. It's the best BBQ I have ever known. The waiter is nice.

Always a good place to get Korean food. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious!

I know practically nothing about Korean food. What I do know is that every culture has something amazing to offer so I decided to go for it when my friends suggested this joint. From the looks of it doesn't seem like it has any potential. I live so close to it and never realized it was there. Its in that weird plazza on algonquin by busse. Who would ever think that this fantastic korean place is there. Well I am so glad I ran into this place. A fun fact about this place. You can cook the food yourself in front of you or you can order it be cooked in the back. I sugested we have it cooked in the back. I am not the best cook and frankly I am not sure how much I am bound to eff it up. My friend ordered 4 orders of bulgogi, 2 with the bone and 2 without. One loves the bone one and my other friend opts for the other. I think they taste exactly the same but hey what do I know? I am from south east europe, all we know is tomatoes and feta cheese. They were fantastic. It was blesses with some great seasoning and a fun like teriyaki sauce. Lohoved it! They give you so many little dishes with the food. They are more like sides or sauces. Some of them are really good, some are just too spicey for me. (I genuinely feel bad for the dishwasher) Now the best part of this place. The service!!! Our server was attentive, humble, sweet and efficient. I was really impressed. I loved everything about this place. Cant wait to fo there again.
(5)Dallas A.
Seafood pancake was great. Spicy beef and BBQ pork belly were even better. Legit portions and spicy. I'll be coming back here. Also, Kim Chee was delicious.
(4)Cathy H.
Very delicious food and wonderful service! Highly recommend! The raw beef is the best I have ever taste. The ice cream they give as a gift taste good too.
(5)Odranre B.
very artsy place - most of the decor is done by a local artist (who happened to be our server)...it's like eating at an art studio...a mix of decors without a theme...my eyes were full as well as my tummy when i left...very comfortable place...everyone here is so friendly and respectful (almost surreal like the artwork), every time i get up to use the bathroom, every staff i passed stops what they are doing and bows at me (next time i'm gonna mess with them and eat while i walked around the tables)...the food is good, however i thought a bit pricey for the amount they give you, so i filled up on the free side dishes like kimchee, pickled cocumbers, rice, etc.---next time i come here i think i'm gonna wear a costume so i can blend in with the artwork.

As a Korean, walking into a clean and modern interior iced Korean restaurant made me think "oh, another Americanized korean restaurant...". Was I wrong. I was very much impressed with quality of the food and service. All of the ingredients to make the dishes and side dishes were fresh. Something I've never seen in any other Korean restaurants. The service is unparalleled as repeatedly mentioned in other reviews. Fully deserves five stars.
(5)Jenny O.
My family and I have been going here for years, and the Korean food is very good here. However, I wouldn't say it's the most traditional kind of cooking. I like the food here because the cooking is clean, and less greasy than other places. Also, ventilation is good here with the bbq grilling because my clothes didn't smell that much after I left. I would highly recommend the seafood pancake (if you like yours on the crispier side). I enjoyed the pork and kimchi stir fry as well. Also, you can't go wrong with the bbq, and this comes with bean paste soup. Furthermore, the workers here are very friendly and attentive to customers' needs. They are a little quirky, though- not in a bad or annoying way. For instance, I came here on Christmas, and they passed out stuffed animals to everyone as a gift. Anyway, this review is coming from a Korean, so it's worth trying out :)

Chungkiwa is chungki-awesome. We came on a double date a few weeks back at the recommendation of the other couple, she is part Korean and this is where her Korean family eats. 1. Service, unlike other Korean BBQ houses, was STELLAR. 100% above par. Very attentive, gracious (free dessert anyone?) honest, and polite. 2. Food was out of this world. We started with an appetizer noodle dish, the name of which I've regrettably forgotten. It was glass-type noodles stir fried with vegetables and meat. We also ordered an order of chicken and an order of bulgogi to cook on the grill. The meat came with assorted vegetables as well. 3. Side dishes were also great, and replenished as many times as we wanted. We had ample amounts of kimchi, chili tofu, bean sprouts, sweet radish, fish cake, and lightly pickled cucumbers. The 2 main dishes and appetizer plus sides were more than enough for four of us. Throw in drinks, and the bill including tip came to $45 per couple. Not bad at all! I will definitely be back to try other meats, and let Chungkiwa wow me some more!
(5)Monica M.
Yelp said they were closed on Sunday, but luckily we noticed that they were open. Best service and really good food. Excellent Kalbi and bulgogi, the high quality of the meat was noticeable.
(5)Boogerworld ..
The food and service was good, the waiter help us a lot since we don't know much about Korean food. Very friendly and welcoming. Definetly going back.
(4)Bob K.
Great food and price reasonable. I will go back again and recommend it to my friends. My favorite dish is short rib barbecue.
(5)Tellsplatte ..
Nice, fun, and unique decor for Korean restaurant. Had the bibimbap. Seems like a nice place to come with friends for beer and Korean food.

Aprt from the great food GREAT service of this place needs special mention. The one who was attending to our table RJ, was so understanding enogh to our difficulty in ordering this entirely new kind of food that he expkained each item on the menu after understanding out palatte and helped us order. When served it came with more than 6 accompaniments all of which we loved and were refilled multiple times. He even explained how to make lettuce wraps. THANK YOU RJ for making our experience the best one at a Korean diner
(5)Tiffany W.
I came here for company luncheon and was very satisfied with both the food and service. Though it is true that is a tad bit expensive, but you truly get what you pay for here. Meat quality was good. and their soup is wonderful. Tiffany

1st time customer, and had an amazing experience! Everyone here was extremely polite, plus the food was amazing!! Definitely going to be returning for another visit!!
(5)Steven R.
Chunkiwa is a delicious destination. The food is tasty, fresh, and the portions are more than ample! Love the Bi Bim Bap, Bulgogi and other dishes I have had there. This is bang for the bucks, folks. The prices are reasonable and their sides are wonderful traditional Korean. They make their own kimchee, and it is delicious. The service is great, and the people very nice and attentive. The hostess/waitress is a sweetheart. Surprise! Dessert with every meal! This is my go-to Korean restaurant! Excellent!
(5)Devin W.
This place doesn't look like much, but they have a lot of fun artwork. The service is probably the best I've had at any Korean restaurant. We typically just get the dolsot bimbimbap.. so yum!
(5)Victoria W.
Came here because Chodang was closed on a Sunday. The tofu casserole was flavorful, but it seemed to be of a smaller portion than usual. At least, the soup level was an inch below the rim of the bowl (see photo) and it initially came without egg. I generally expect my tofu soup to be bubbling violently over the sides :). Also, they used firm tofu which didn't seem to match the dish as well as the usual soft stuff. Loved the banchan, though! Included a spicy tofu dish. Our server was insanely attentive, offering to replace banchan and such. We also received a free dessert of mini cheesecakes, which were a bit frozen but still appreciated.
(3)Pallas H.
Have passed by the restaurants on the way to Mitsuwa in the past 5 years. Decided to give it a try today. Three of us went and order a special, seafood pancake and hot pot rice. The special came with soup. We chose beef broth with seaweed. It was big and delicious. The neat was fresh and seasoned well. It came with a nice cream cone at the end. The flavor is more Japanese style than the Traditional Korean style. Prior review mentioned friendly service. It was indeed a great experience. It is a great find and we will be back!
(4)Dan M.
My girlfriend and I were craving Korean BBQ. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and to put it plainly, it's a hole in the wall. Inside the decor matches the outside. The lack of ambience is more than made up by the really nice employees at the restaurant. Everyone is super sweet and friendly. This is a family run place so don't expect white table cloths or a large wine list. We ordered the Chungkiwa special for 2. This included soup, appetizers , and and an assortment of marinated meats to grill. The best part of Korean BBQ is the ability to grill your own meat which was perfect for since we don't agree on how long to grill meats. The appetizers were delicious and the soup was amazing! The meats were fresh and tender. The only reason this place didn't get 5 stars is because the decor leaves a lot to be desired. But if your looking for a small whole in the wall authentic Korean BBQ restaurant near Ohare then come here immediately!

This area on a late Sunday night leaves much to be desired if you are in need of non-fastfood food. So color me happy when this little place shows up on Yelp, and it was still open to boot. Win! When you walk in the decor might temporarily confuse you. Somebody mentioned it feels a little 'Greek' and I'll agree that is a pretty accurate observation. The thing is once you breathe in you will know that there is no souvlaki here but glorious, delicious Korean fare awaits. Hub had bulghogi because that is always a good staple when trying a new place, and I had assorted veg which they prepared vs grilling my own. The banchan were pretty good, not the best kimchee I have ever had (it was very mild) but all were restocked religiously by our uber friendly waiter. The people here are super, by the way! A far cry from the usual ancient Korean lady whom is angry at the whole world. LOVED the service. The bulghogi smelled amazing, it was tender, juicy and well marinated. It caramelized beautifully when grilled and made the H a happy man. Hungry woman finished her plate o'veggies with a stupid smile on her face, and was happily surprised by the cute (albeit par frozen) baby cheesecakes. They were actually quite good, the frozenness made them into little cheesecakepopsicle bites. All in all a solid choice for dinner (or lunch I'd presume), and not just because it is one of the few places open late. Yup- we'll be back.
(4)Sarah Y.
I just went past weekend for bbq here and it was better than I remembered last time! Their marinated galbi, side dishes, as well as the soy bean soup with the rice at the end of the meal was top notch. Even the veggies in the soy bean soup (Korean BBQs come with free soy bean soup and rice) were so fresh. This is impressive because I've seen veggies in the soy bean soups that looked like there were leftovers in other restaurants. This is one of the best Korean bbq places.
(5)Tony C.
I decided to try this place to satisfy my craving for Korean BBQ. It is located in a strip mall, so we almost missed it on the way there. Previous comments about the decor are spot on: it looks like it used to be a Greek restaurant, converted to a Korean BBQ place. They had opera music playing in the background, which drove my wife nuts. But what really surprised me was the service. The food was great, but the way that the servers conducted their business was very impressive. The servers went well out of their way to make us feel well cared for. They gave us extra food for our toddlers, even dessert for them, all at no extra cost. The plates of food just kept coming, and our order was ready for us very quickly. My wife thought the food was overpriced (we got just two entrees, the kalbi and samkyupsal for about $50, without tip), but she was also impressed with the service. Those two entrees fed two adults and two picky toddlers, so in my book, it was priced fairly. We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic in every way possible. It's such a treat every time I eat here! From the moment you walk in, 'till after you get back home, it is smiles on my face and warmth in my heart. They always treat you like family and offer you nothing but love (and amazing food too!) every single time. I've ordered many things off their menu, but my favorite thing to order is their Korean BBQ. Kalbi and Bulgogi. Freshly cut from the bone- to order! If you're tired of eating the twice dead quality meat at the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ's near the burbs, you MUST come here for a BBQ revival. Trust me. You really need this. ... Enjoy!!! =)
(5)T D.
We've been going here since being introduced to the place by two different Korean families. This place is a ton of fun. Take your adventurous eaters, and you will have a blast. I've been here on dates with the wife, and with the family, and every time it has been great. Last time we went the youngest kid (7) asked to go there. The tabletop barbecue is really cool. Pick your proteins from the list on the menu. They bring out a bunch of different bowls of side items like bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, tofu, radish, pickles to eat alongside the main item. Some of the tables on the left-hand side are semi-enclosed, so it feels like you're eating at your own little private table.
(5)Jasper Y.
Ive been to quite a few other korean bbq places in the area and this was definitely towards the top of my list. We ordered the kalbi, samgyeopsal, and the spicy short rib soup. All were very good, but the kalbi was the star of the meal. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend Chungkiwa.
(5)Lawrence L.
Great dinner and equally good service. We had the meat and seafood combo BBQ. More than enough for three people even though it says it's for two. Try the side dishes that come with the meals. Their all vegetables and excellent. Different tastes if you haven't had Korean food before. The meat was well seasoned and we grilled it ourselves . A good time all around. Desert, Klondike bars!, was an unexpected surprise.
(4)Yilian C.
the bestï¼especially the serviceï¼they will give you cheese cake for freeï¼spicy beef soup is a must try
(5)Eriko K.
Eclectic decor by the artist-owner. Semi-private booth seating. Friendly service. The pajun is out of this world - crispy on the outside and airy on the inside, scallion ad seafood fillings with good texture. Glass noodles were tasty and mild. The Kalbi tang is the featured soup, which you can ask with your preferred degree of heat, but it tastes better the spicier it is, so ask for it at least medium hot.
(4)Michelle T.
Mm let me start off by saying we came upon this place by accident. Apparently all the korean restaurants in the area are closed on sunday and we REALLY wanted korean food. Anyway, the restaurant is uniquely decorated with assorted knickknacks in both Korean and American flavors. It's somewhere between kitschy and cozy. I saw a lot of korean people here when I was here. I'm not sure how I feel about that because this restaurant was kind of our last pick amongst Korean restaurants. To me the food was just ok and somewhat on the bland side, particuarly the ban chan. I've actually forgotten what we ordered - it left that deep of an impression. However the waiter left a strong impression. He was really great. He was very attentive without being intrusive or overbearing and he had excellent timing and anticipated our needs well (e.g. giving us enough time to contemplate the menu without either rushing us or abandoning us for 20 minutes, refilling our tea, etc). So - the staff were fantastic. The food adequate. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back but if I lived really close, I'd probably include this in my rotation of staple restaurants to go to.
(3)Curt L.
I had the Kalb and Wifey had the Bibimbap. I enjoyed my marinated beef ribs cut off the bones. Mixed in with my rice and nibbling on the panchans.............I thought overall a good meal. Wifey thought the meat cut a little too thick. Wifey wished that the Bibimbap was in the a stone bowl where the rice could crunch up on the bottom..sadly no crunched up rice in a plastic type bowl. The panchans were tasty...especially liking the kimchi as it was paper thin and nicely spiced. The room is kitschy and slightly weird in design (with it's cubby hole seating). The Staff is excellent. So nice and fun to talk with. Always there with a smile and a bow.

Holy poop, Chicago! Did you know that you have awesome Korean food in your city? Go here now! My connecting flight was canceled, so I'm stuck in Chicago for a day. Being from Los Angeles, I was shocked that there's KBBQ here. I hauled ass over to Chunkiwa at 9:40, because anything after 10pm in this city is fucking Pizza. So I got the front-desk lady to drive me over here, and it was damn good. I'd definitely go here if it were in LA. I ordered the Pork Bulgogi and got them to add some cold dishes to it. The Kimchi is very good and so were the rest of the dishes. Highly recommended. My only gripe is that they don't post their menu online. I was in such a rush, I didn't think to ask how much. $19 feels a bit steep, but I'm not sure if that's normal or just me miscommunicating while in a rush . But I'm still giving it 4-stars, so you should go.
(4)Bruce C.
Did some research while in the area and found this gem. Food was great and so was the service! Looking forward to being back in the area and going back for more!
(4)Sean S.
Yeuh! Hidden gem! Better than any Korean place elsewhere. Kalbi is marinated so it tastes delicious and Mr. Kim takes really good care of you. I hope this place stays open for a long time.
(5)Rong G.
The owner is so nice, the food is so delicious, price is reasonable. Love the restaurant!
(5)Frank D.
As a huge fan of Korean BBQ, it took me a while to find my go to place in the Chicago area. All of the BBQ items I've tried were fantastic, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive. I have found myself eating here twice in one week. You really can't go wrong with this place.
(5)Kim S.
I have been going here for years. Whenever I can't go to mom's house for a Korean meal, this place is my go-to place. I've taken lots of friends and even took my parent's here, when I didn't feel like cooking. The Bibimbap and Yu-kae-jang are standard issues, just like mom made. Every thing I've ever ordered here has been very good, so you can't go wrong. The lunch specials are surprisingly well sized portions. But here's the thing...Koreans are not know for their service. Go to any old-school Korean restaurant, especially in the city and they will pretty much ignore you. This place the owner and whom I assume is his son, have ALWAYS been polite, they treat you like family and it makes you want to support this "mom and pop" shop. Best hospitality, always gracious and seem very genuine. Appears very clean, doesn't feel greasy which is important if you grill your own meat. There are many other Korean restaurants in the area, but the food is great, they seem like really nice people and reasonably priced.
(5)George S.
Went with a friend to visit this bbq Korean restaurant. We shared the combination platter for 2 which was a vast sampling of nearly everything. It was delicious and more than enough for two people. In fact, it probably would have been enough for 4 people with moderate appetites. Reasonably priced. Good value. We went on a Saturday evening and was not busy. The service was excellent and the staff courteous and knowledgeable about items on the menu. There is a stove in the middle of the table where you can cook the beef and pork items. Pretty neat with the vent hood higher up. Great place for an intimate dinner for two. The booths are a nice setting for groups of 4 or 6. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.
(5)Rickster P.
This visit was our second, the first being about two years ago. Excellent! One of us had dolt sot bibimbop (please excuse the poor transliteration); the other had kimchi bibimbop. Both were wonderful and the side dishes good as well. Paul was our waiter and was quite excellent. If I had to break my rating down I'd say: Service: 5 (a SOLID 5) Food: 4.5 (excellent, about the best Korean we've had) Ambiance: 4 (nice, not elegant) Value: 5 (two dinners for twenty bucks!) If I could do the rating with a bit more granularity, I'd give 'em a 4.5 or so. We'll be back!
(5)Sam Y.
God awful Korean food. As a lover of Korean food, I'm ashamed to have even visited here. I've been here several times in the past... when I was younger but they must have changed owership or something. Their KimChi was absolutely the worst I've ever had in my life. And trust me, I've had a lot of KimChi. I can confidently say it was the absolute worst. I would strongly advise anyone against this place.. it's a disgrace to Korean cuisine. I'm worried first timer (Korean food wise) would get the wrong idea.... eek!!
(1)Trevor S.
Still one of the best.
(5)Anna H.
We came here as a party of 3. Most of the tables were somewhat private except for what looked like a big party room. The BBQ style was gas with iron grills. We ordered galbi, samgyupsal, and some type of marinated prime rib meat. Before the meats came, we received about 6 panchans (side dishes) consisting of: sliced cucumber, fish cake, spinach, bean sprout, very mild kimchee and spicy sliced radish. All the meats we ordered were excellent in taste. The standard yummy Korean flavor. They served lettuce and rice per usual. We had to ask for the deng jang chigae (perhaps they had forgotten). The deng jang chigae was below average in taste (as if a 2nd generation Korean-American (such as myself) had made it. ;-) The atmosphere seemed a step above most Korean BBQ hole in the wall joints. Somethings other non-issue things that stood out from other Korean restaurants: - the decor was more Greek style, but pleasant and clean looking. - the dishes and silverware was stuff you would buy from Crate and Barrel, non-Koreean dishware - while we were there, they played music from polka to opera to Micheal Jackson. - the service was great and the waitstaff was very friendly and pleasant. Overall, I would go back for the BBQ meats. I've had better, but still good.
(4)Matt O.
Such a great place. Amazing service; great food; nice ambiance. The sides are delicious, and the quality of the meat is spectaular considering the price. Also, I guess the owner makes most of the artwork himself. He pointed out some of his sculptures and painting as we left. Incredible meal. Best Korean BBQ I've ever been to..
(5)Michelle B.
This is down the street from where I work so a couple of us stopped in for lunch one day. I agree that not many people probably know this is here. Its located in a little strip mall on the corner of Busse and Algonquin. I got a chicken dish and my friend from work got a pork dish. We shared both. You cook on a mini grill that comes up in the middle of the table and they give you a bunch of little dishes to snack on while your meat cooks. They serve it with lettuce and a red sauce that you put together your self. They also give you some steamed rice. Overall it was a great experience and the staff was friendly. The meat was extremely flavorful and seasoned well. I'd definitely go again and if you're looking for a Korean restaurant and don't want to venture into the city this is a great place.
(4)Kevin S.
The hot pot/bowls taste good but the amount of meat included is minuscule (bibimbap). My girlfriend got a very tiny amount of beef in hers, and they actually forgot to put any in mine, literally. Luckily I noticed right away and they took it back and put some in. Prices for the actual BBQ items are on the expensive side. Overall it tasted pretty good but it wasn't really worth it for the bibimbap if you're looking for pretty much anything close to a substantial amount of meat. Next time we go back we'll try something from the BBQ menu. Service was very friendly even though the English was pretty poor.
(3)Bernard P.
This is one of the weirdest Korean joints that I have ever been to, and I mean that in a nice way. Where else could you go for Korean food where they're playing either Italian opera or Christian music, have swords on the wall next to Christian artwork, and the dining booths are reminiscent of futuristic office cubicles? Seriously, it was like a whole new world and I loved every strange minute of it!!!! Came back to Chicago over the weekend with the wifey to work on some hush hush, contract stuff and wanted some good Korean food. Came to Chungkiwa based on the Yelp reviews and to be honest, we were slightly disappointed with our meals. I ordered the spicy pork lunch special and it wasn't spicy at all. Actually, the pork was drowning in an overly sweet, red pepper sauce. The wifey ordered the Hot Pot Kimchee with raw egg and it was just OK, nothing out of this world. The soup was OK and the panchan was very limited when compared to other Korean joints we've been to in other places of the world. Aside from the 2 star food, the service was a definite 5 star plus! The owner and waitstaff were extremely gracious, making you feel like you're relatives eating in their home. Service was fast, very warm and efficient. The smiles were never ending and the after meal, dessert was a Klondike bar which I haven't had since I was a kid! Nice! Will we be coming back any time soon? No. Would we be willing to give them another shot in the future? Definitely.
(3)Amanda C.
The service here was fantastic! We first ordered an appetizer that consisted of shrimp dipped in egg and then fried. It was AMAZING! Probably my favorite part of the meal. The little appetizers were good.. The kimchi was not the best I have ever had, but it was decent. We all got dol sot bi bim bop... I was slightly disappointed with that. Bi bim bop is one of my favorite things in the world, and this was amongst the worst I've ever had. First of all, the pots were not stone, they were just warmed, smooth bowls so there was no good scraping and it seemed like the bowl lost head quickly. The red chili sauce was WAY too sweet... I have never had a red chili sauce this sweet before and I do NOT want to again. It was still tasty, just not even close to as good as others I have had. They gave us Klondike bars at the bar at the end! What a nice ending! Overall great experience :)

I'm Korean and I COOK Korean food but I was lazy and my bf and I were hungry. We live down the street and it was one of the only places open at 9pm on a Sunday. Thank goodness! We ordered the KalbiTang, spicy beef short ribs with glass noodles and Ohjinga Bokkeum, stir fried spicy squid. DELISH! The squid was almost as good as how my mother makes it, but a little on the sweet side. The server had to double and triple check with us to make sure we could handle the spice. We literally ate everything!. Great big portions, great spice and flavor and good side dishes. The price was about normal, but not bad for Korean food. 13$ for the squid and about 12$ for the beef soup. The servers were very nice, and polite and like my bf's mohawk a lot. We'll be going back for sure.
(5)Gyuchul S.
Best Korean BBQ restaurant in town!!! Fresh ingredients and meat. Some people may not like the food because Chungkiwa doesn't use MSG??? Well, you need to try it.
